SCHOOL OF PAUL HANKAR (1859-1901)
Our work presented at the 1905 Universal and International Exhibition, Liège
Large display column with two circular shelves in ash wood.
Height: 143 cm – Base diameter: 67 cm
History:
This column is believed to be the only remaining piece from one of the stands displayed in the Belgian section at the 1905 Universal and International Exhibition in Liège. Originally, there were four columns of this model, connected to two benches with very modern lines. Evidence of this use can be seen in the socket on one of the legs of our pedestal, which shows where it was joined to one of the benches presented at the event.
Exhibition:
1905 Universal and International Exhibition – Liège, April 25 to November 6, 1905. Our work was exhibited at this event on one of the stands in the Belgian section.
