ERNEST CHAPLET (1835-1909)
Set of two vases, one baluster-shaped with an annular neck, the other quadrangular.
Enamelled porcelain stoneware proofs.
Circa 1890.
Each proof bears the signature in the form of a rosary, embossed under the base.
Height of the baluster vase: 12 cm
Quadrangular vase – Height: 6 cm – Length: 9.5 cm – Width: 9.5 cm

Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, Paris – A similar piece to our quadrangular vase is kept in the collections of this institution under inventory number OGAL 185 (bequeathed by the artist upon his death).
